Broncos DT Marcus Thomas was arrested early Saturday on a drug possession charge.
The drug was cocaine. Thomas was a top-15 talent last year, but fell all the way to the fourth round because of his checkered off-field history. We doubt he'll face a suspension, but it's a bad sign he's still making poor decisions. A lie detector test from Mike Shanahan may be forthcoming.

Not a big surprise. After all the issues on character and Goodell's effort to crack down, teams were warned of this. This guy had known problems like this going into the draft, and Denver stilll traded up to get him. It made no sense at the time, and makes them looking even worse now. They asked for it.

last year bronco's had a few players involved in some off field issues and shanahan gave them lie detector tests before punishment and they passed the test. its a inside joke.
