When Drew Brees when down with a rib injury, the New Orleans Saints turned to Taysom Hill at quarterback. Hill is a gadget player who has lined up at quarterback, running back, tight end and wide receiver for New Orleans.
He started at quarterback last week and ran the offense well.
“They ran their normal offense,” Denver Broncos coach Vic Fangio said Wednesday. “I was turning on the tape maybe to see something different, but it’s the Saints offense they’ve been running ever since Sean’s [Payton] been there and they’ve evolved to, with the addition of his ability to have the quarterback designed runs. But other than the quarterback designed runs which are unique to him, they ran their offense.”
Fangio went on to butter up the Saints’ new quarterback ahead of his matchup against Denver this weekend. ...
