It's official, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have their new head coach.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Tampa Bay has finalized the deal, and former Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians will become the 12th coach in Buccaneers history. However, the hiring wasn't the easiest. According to Schefter, the Buccaneers acquired the head coach's rights from the Arizona Cardinals, along with a 2019 seventh-round draft pick in exchange for Tampa Bay's 2019 sixth-round pick.

Arians, a two-time Associated Press NFL Coach of the Year, technically retired from coaching last year after the Cardinals struggled through an 8-8 season. All things considered, it's impressive that .500 is a bad season for Arians. Of course, Arians won't return for just any job. There was interest in the Cleveland Browns, but Tampa Bay also is apparently an attractive destination for Arians.

A big part of Arians leaving football last year was a combination of health scares. According to a report from the Tampa Bay Times, the Buccaneers made Arians undergo a complete physical at a Tampa hospital on Saturday, and it included a discussion with his personal physician as a part of the interview process, a tidbit originally reported by Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. ...
