Buck Allen became the newest member of the New Orleans Saints running back rotation this offseason when the team signed him in late May following a try out.
Going forward, Allen hopes he can prove himself worthy of a spot on the roster.
“I always said when I was little, ‘It takes two people, yourself and somebody else to believe in you and give you the opportunity,’” Allen said, via the Times Picayune.
“It’s your job and it’s up to you to really prove to them they were right on their chance of going with you. So, that’s what I’m here to do.”
The running back position figures to undergo some competition this summer as far as the backup spots go, behind projected starter Alvin Kamara and presumptive No. 2 Latavius Murray.
