Cam Jordan signs a 2 year/$27.5M extension fully guaranteed (3 Viewers)

Perfect! Make sure he retires as a Saint and only a Saint heading into the Hall of Fame

I think that he would be the first Saints Only player in the HOF. All of the other current HOF Inductees also played for other teams and Finks was with the Bears.

Class act on every level. Everything a franchise could ever want in a player on and off the field. NFL Hall of Fame player. Ironman. Will have a great broadcasting career after he is done and rep the Saints for life. Extension helps push ghost years on cap. Team defensive captain. All time best defensive lineman this team has ever produced.

What a class human being and rare football player. We really have been blessed to have witnessed his greatness, on and off the field, for well over a decade! Also it should not be forgotten what a class organization is the Saints, constantly taking care of their players. That is why thi organization is considered around the league as a destination place.

Basically letting us know this is it. By the fact that his dad was there and the flowers and all. It seemed like a pre-retirement approach. Like they all knew this contract was the last one. Congrats to Cam. Best draft pick we've had the past 20 years. Arguably ever.

I think Colston is in the running for being a 7th rounder.

I think if we go on to be a top 4 team and win or make a SB in the next 2 years I could see him getting serious HOF consideration.

As it stands now I'd put him in the Hall of Very Good/Consistent for a long time. Kinda what Mike Evans is stuck in right now.

I think Cam is a lock for the HOF (not first ballot but eventually). Say he only has another ten sacks in his career. That would put him 17th all time in NFL history at 125.5 sacks. Every player with that many sacks or more is already in the HOF or will be eventually. Combine his on the field accomplishments with his off the field likeability (which will only be more widely known when he goes into broadcasting) I think he definitely gets in.

His conference was gold. I watch very few press conferences, I’d watch all of his lol.

Referring to Sean as Darth Vader lol. Love it!

Congrats to Cam!

Kinda random but Cam's dad (Steve) looks great. He was a awesome TE from back in the day.
His father, Steve Jordan, was and is still considered one of the best TE's in Vikings history. He played for 13 seasons in Minnesota, (1982-94), IIRC, was voted to 5 Pro Bowls during his career. He was later voted into Vikings Team Hall of Honor after his career was over.

Funny, amusing yet interesting story that shows how his father is still very competitive and loyal towards his old team, even when he decides to root for them over his son's Saints team when the Saints/Vikings played each other at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and IIRC, the NFL Network here showed a big contingent of both Saints and Vikings fans, and among the American Vikings fans who flew over to London was Cam's dad, Steve, wearing Minnesota Vikings team regalia before the game had even begun.

I think Colston is in the running for being a 7th rounder.
Colston’s the Saints’ best value pick as a 7th round star WR. But Cam has the longevity for career and of high level play. Elite DE for over a decade and a staple on our defense for same timeframe. We may not see another one of our star draft picks reach that longevity for a while. We’ll see how Latt and Olave’s careers turn out.
