Camp Updates 8/14 (1 Viewer)

So Ima try to spend most of my time on the OL/DL today...

Watching footwork drills and you can just see the difference between the guys who can shuffle their feet quickly and who can't... Now obviously, you might be able to shuffle quickly but might be not as strong so it doesn't mean everything...

Btw, Lilito at LG and Peat at RG with the starters during walk thru

Could Onyemata be getting work with the ones today??? He's with them in walk thru... I was impressed with him during 1 on 1 yesterday... He won both of his rushes yesterday... One against Lilito and can't recall the other

Onyemata is so so raw though. He really didn't stand out in the game. But give him the benefit of the doubt. From what the coaches said about him, he tend to get better. It would be nice to see something amazing from him, at least a stop in the back field or a sack in the preseason, but I am not holding my breath for it this early.

Yep, it been a mixed bag... This is only my initial thought but we all know he's very gifted physically so perhaps it why I'm seeing him look really good in individual drills but lost in team...

Big difference 1 on 1 and having 22 moving parts and having to know and understand the inner workings and responsibilities and execute...

That was a terrible throw by Grayson. Im not sure what you want Coleman to do there.

He's done it before, he will do it again...agreed not the best throw by Grayson but Coleman seems to have bad things happen when the ball is thrown his way

Swann doing stretching and running with the team with no pads on... Looks to be fine physically, which concerns me...

With that play, I am not holding that against Coleman. It was a bad throw and a bad read on Grayson. People are upset about his effort more so. He is a tall big receiver who could of fight for it better. There was a play in training camp, I remembered watching a clip, where the ball was broken up, intended for him. With his size, he could of boxed out his defender and make the catch. It was a pitiful effort on his part. He needs to learn how to locate the ball. Not just wait for the ball to come to his hands.

But what is also concerning is the fact that he isn't targeted as much. I don't know if it is a lack of trust from the quarterback or the play was not designed to go his way. But point being, he seems to disappear quite often.

Players quickly rave about a guy that has a go get it mentality when the ball is in the air. All 3QBs have praised MT in that way since his arrival...none of them have said that about Coleman.

And Tommy Lee Lewis seems to want it more. He want to make this team. I was hearing a lot of good things about him before the game. When I watched the game, I can see why. Coleman just don't have that. 3 years is enough. I was happy with his effort during the end of the season last year and was counting on him to make that leap forward but so far he hasn't yet in training camp or game.

This is my opinion as well... It was a terrible pass and I really doubt he could have caught it but I would like to see the DOG that goes and tries to get it with more aggression.

And that is what people are complaining about mostly with him. It is not his fault but the lack of effort from him is concerning.
