4-year RS SR OL who started in 41 of 43 games in which he has played multiple positions on the offensive line with no known impactful injuries. Played two years at Texas State where he started all 12 games and made an immediate impact on the offensive line. During his career has primarily played Right Guard, but also has spent some time at Left Guard, Right Tackle, and blocking TE, which speaks to his FBI and his ability to switch positions and still be an effective blocker.

Kyle is a Lineman with a good upside. Has a Solid FBI and has played almost every position on the offensive line. He displays solid playing strength in the run game and passing game. Lacks some open-field speed and quickness to secure blocks at the 2nd and 3rd level, but is very accurate and heavy-handed with his strikes. Stays active on his blocks and can finish defenders.

I would not be surprised how effective serviceable lineman may be in this zone blocking scheme. but I do not see a UDFA Rookie starting week 1.

Ruiz and McCoy were the most consistent thing about the offensive line last year.
And Ruiz is ranked 35 out of all OG for 2023...
That isn't a very good ranking for a player that was drafted as high as him and for a player that is paid as well as he is paid...

and yet, he and McCoy were the most consistent players on the offensive line.
