Can someone explain to me what offense pass interference is? (1 Viewer)

They were basically saying he started blocking too soon.

But in my view, the ball was in the air when he locked him up and if it's a screen, you can start blocking the moment the ball is in the air. Tick tacky call you almost never see made.

Let's look at this logically. Per the NFL, "It is pass interference by either team when any player movement beyond the line of scrimmage significantly hinders the progress of an eligible player of such player’s opportunity to catch the ball. Offensive pass interference rules apply from the time the ball is snapped until the ball is touched. Defensive pass interference rules apply from the time the ball is thrown until the ball is touched. "

You can't possibly interfere with a guy who is 20 yds away as he had NO CHANCE of catching that ball.
