Anybody remember the classic line "can't nobody take my pride, can't nobody hold me down, oh no!"

Fox news might try to censor this presidential race however the message will get through! Look at the windows in the place.

Ron Paul ran several commercials during the forum he was not invited to. Fox news won't invite him but they'll take his money.

There was also a huge spontaneous rally in New Hampshire right after the Town Hall meeting at the hotel all the fox people were staying at.

He also held a town hall meeting and it aired in New Hampshire before the forum.

Every single person in NH that will vote for him was at that rally....

Alright, alright we shall see

None of you guys think it was wrong that fox is basically trying to silence paul and censor him? Basically trying to pick who you can vote for.

"This group of New Hampshire voters is clearly sophisticated. The points that they raised are very issue-oriented"

I don't get it. What comments were "issue-oriented"? Someone made a comment about pro-life. Someone else about China. Everything else was on personality, likeability, morality/character, being able to speak "off the cuff"

There were no issue-oriented comments. And I saw no sophistication from the people in this small, abbreviated sample.

I just end up scratching my head how people can listen to Romney speak and come away saying anything positive about him.

A lot of people know they are not smart enough to make an educated decision and need help from the media. In fact, I bet millions of people would be happy to give their vote to Bill O'Reilly to make the decision for them. The same could be said for plenty of others like Pat Robinson, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, etc.

Plus the election would be so much quicker. Think how nice it would be if nobody had to stay up late just to find out who the next president was going to be or had to stand in line to vote....yuck. The members of the press and some computers could do it, kind of like the BCS.

I hope the NFL decides to drop the Chargers from the playoffs because they aren't good enough to beat the Patriots anyway. I know the Chargers met all the criteria for the playoffs but most people think they don't stand a chance against the Patriots so why waste incredibly valuable television time for a team that doesn't really have a chance?

Romney is the culmination of modern American politics: telegenic, patrician, carefully coiffed and ready to tell you what he thinks you want to hear, his past statements or positions notwithstanding.

I feel dumber everytime I hear him speak...

This happens every election cycle. Folks get excluded from debates. Ron Paul is better off staying out of them anyway. His positions are such that they don't lend themselves to the format. If he was debating a single opponent then he might do well. In the format used in primary season he has to say pretty kooky stuff just to stand out.

Ron Paul should have run as a Democrat, where he could offer a real alternative for large numbers of people. His foreign policy stance is a deal killer for most Republicans but would go like gangbusters among Democrats. His ideas on most everything else would make him really standout in that field and I think there are lots of Dems who would pull the trigger for an anti-Iraq war, small government, personal liberty candidate, especially one opposed to Free Trade deals.

Over on the Republican side he is just a fringe candidate.

We will never know.

My understanding is that Ron Paul supporters are boycotting Fox and all advertisers for the debate because of Paul's exclusion. Do the supporters now have to boycott Paul because he advertised during the debate?

So you think limited government, less taxes, less social welfare, less government spending and the protection of liberties is more of a democrat thing?

How did George Bush get elected as a Republican in 2000 with a platform that included a humble foreign policy, no nation building, tax breaks, reduced government spending and welfare reform?

there seems to be a major push for Romney being made by the conservative media, not surprising

does that have anything to do with the recent purchase of Clear Channel?

precisely my impressions - he has zero substance and relies entirely on presence. I just lack the articulation to put it as succinctly as you did, ba

kooky fringe candidate.

*Yawn* Your pretty much spot on though among rank-and-file Republicans who talk a big game when referring to personal freedom, smaller government, and returning this country to following a more constitutional path rather than the big-government, bloated Republican Party which takes its cues mostly from big-corporate interests and the military industrial complex.

These so-called "conservatives" listen to the talking heads such as Limbaugh and Vanity and convince themselves that they actually are so much better than the socialist Democrats on the other side.

Yeah, it's real kooky and on the fringe to support a foreign policy which doesn't resemble Great Britain in the late 19th century--like opposing the further expansion of Pax Americana is kooky.

But being all behind an ever-expanding "American Empire" to prevent World War III is your position--naw, not kooky at all gumbeau.

*Whiff*

LMAO, Ron Paul as a Democrat - that's rich. Dennis Kucinich would have a better chance getting the GOP nomination.
