Carolina Hurricanes' Eric Staal is a Saints fan (1 Viewer)

I was watching the noon news on one of the Raleigh stations today & they did an interview with the trainer of the Hurricanes & Eric Staal about some program they are doing with children. I did a double take when I saw Eric Staal was wearing a Saints t-shirt!! It was white with "Saints" and "1967" in black letters. It was one of those vintage looking shirts. I was totally astonished but quite pleased he was wearing it today of all days!

I tried to find the video of the interview but it is not on their website. I will keep looking to get a picture.

Who would have thought a Canadian hockey player in North Carolina would be a Saints fan?

staal has always been a fav of mine, specially when they won the cup a couple years ago. living up there when they won it, it was cool seeing everybody get into hockey!
