Hey guys, wasn't sure where to post this so sorry if it's in the wrong spot.

We are planning a bachelor trip for a guy (loves gambling). We are split on whether to spend a weekend in Nola vs Biloxi. From what Iv'e heard Biloxi has better casino life but Nola will have better nightlife, cooler city, etc

Anybody have any advice ?

Also I read Biloxi has a sportsbook now for sports betting. Wasn't sure if New Orleans had that yet. Thanks

No sports book at NOLA casinos. Yes, Biloxi has better casinos but you can’t go wrong with a bachelor party in New Orleans. If he wants to hit Harrahs it’s there, but I would think he would be too busy in Ricks getting lap dances to care about gambling.

The new sports book at the Beau in Biloxi is first class. You feel like you’re in Vegas.

I would say that if ALL you want to do is gamble then you should end up in Biloxi. If you want gambling to just be one aspect of a great weekend, you should do New Orleans.

When is the trip? Only reason I'm asking is if it's not any time before the summer, I hear the legislature might finally pull the trigger on sports book in the state (is this the right year in there legislative calendar) to keep Mississippi from leeching money from here.

I don't know if poker is the game of choice, but if so I think Biloxi is a better venue. Particularly the Beau.

It's been a while so it may have changed, but the last time I was there Harrah's poker in NOLA was not really set apart from the rest of the casino so it was blasted by the noise from the damn slot machines. That really gets old.
