I was just about to post this. This can't be possible. I remember from my genetics class in college that sperm and eggs from different species would not be able to produce offspring. I am calling shenanigans.
 
It'll be interesting to see what the genetic analysis reveals.

It's possible...When I was a kid our cat drug a litter of wild rabbits home and tried to raise them. They survived a few hours before assumably starving, but she sure tried.
