6. David Griffin and Trajan Langdon put on a front-office clinic beginning with the trade of Anthony Davis, which brought back Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and a slew of future draft picks. One of those picks, this year's No. 4 overall selection, New Orleans traded to the Hawks in exchange for the Nos. 8 and 17 picks, where they took Jaxson Hayes and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who were both summer league head-turners and should be able to contribute right away. Oh, and by they way, they also got some guy named Zion Williamson with the No. 1 overall pick and added veterans Derrick Favors and JJ Redick. To lose a star like Davis, in a small market, and come out immediately with an arguably better team RIGHT NOW to go with a trove of assets that give you one of the brightest futures in the league ... that is incredible.

not sure how they figure that if we got immediately better with the Davis trade, we are 3 spots behind the team we traded him to

Since the title of this article is "Top 10 offseasons," vs. "Top 10 teams," the Pels should have been listed at #3, IMO. In fact, the last part of their narrative (about the Pels) says it all:

To lose a star like Davis, in a small market, and come out immediately with an arguably better team RIGHT NOW to go with a trove of assets that give you one of the brightest futures in the league ... that is incredible.
