More @tomwaits defense…it’s a tongue in cheek phrasing of an important question. The answer, on the face of it, is obvious but it’s not what happens in actual life. It plagues me as well. How can there be such obvious hypocrisy/dissonance/overt deadlines that’s ignored and even celebrated? The excuses people make for it are absurd.
