Having had a DSLR camera for a year now, I understand the importance of lighting. The no makeup photos had the worst lighting and worst angles. As Sue pointed out, not exactly a fair comparison. Face to face most wouldn't look as bad as those photos at all.

That said, always got on my nerves, in movies, how they would have on makeup in morning scenes. I mean still in bed and it's obvious makeup is on.

In my real life experience tho darker skinned women tend to do just fine without it. Morning face just as nice as the evening ball face.
