I just looked at a mock that had us picking Mingo, I liked their summary:

I'm not totally comfortable with Mingo. He doesn't have any pass rush moves, and that worries me. I love his athleticism and potential, and he did really well in the coverage drills at the combine, but he still worries me. He won't be able to just speed rush OTs at this level like he did in college - and he wasn't even that successful with it in college...

The scouting guy they have on NFL network, Daniel Jeremiah doesn't rate Mingo either, said he didn't make any plays last year, and he was just the high five master and the butt-slap kingpin.

Of course who did he mock to the Saints? Mingo.
