Maybe I am reading into it way way too much.....but does anyone else take this quote as a good sign regarding Grant's future with this club? Personally, I think that resigning Grant is one of the keys to our offseason, and quotes like this give me hope that he isnt going anywhere.

Grant is an eternal optimist. I wouldn't read too much into the statement except that he has confidence in the team as it stands now and was just emphasizing that fact. That said, I would love it if it really meant that we'll have him next year.

Yeah I agree he isnt going to come out and say that he is gone. But arent you glad that you are hearing the standard "I want to stay here, but this is a business".

Yeah but I think if he felt like he was gonna leave he would had said we think we have a team that can win this year. Instead of saying WE have the people for 2-3 years.. Who knows. Winning has a way of changing feelings.

I wouldn't doubt if ALL of our players WANT to stay, and many may if they still fit the "plan"!

actually, that IS charles' standard response, in every interview i've heard at least...and it should be. he has nothing to gain by either raising the hope of fans or by putting pressure on the front office

doesn't he have 2 years or just a year on his contract??

i think i remember reading somewhere that he can be a FA if he doesn't pick up his club option with the team...similar to what Sammy Knight did.

That's a great quote.....the confidence that this team has is like no other Saints team that I can remember.
