Of all the reasons we lost tonight, Drew not launching a 50 yd bomb on his tip toes was not one of them. This was the same Drew Brees type game we’ve gotten for the past three seasons that have led to great success. What we didn’t get was CONSISTENT help from our “vaunted” defense.

Absolutely not. Drew double clutched passes all night knowing he couldn’t get the ball there.

Now explain to me why Taysom didn’t make those throws when he was in? Collinsworth even commented on it and said that Taysom had several receivers breaking open, but he chose to run it. Cris also noted on that play that he believe the reason Taysom didn’t throw it is the same reason why Brees hasn’t been throwing deeper passes: lack of trust/timing with the receivers.

Exactly. I think people already have a narrative in their head aboutcertain players and they run with it. Jenkins had maybe two plays where he got dusted. The rest of the game he was making his presence known and rocking the Packers’s skill players.
