N/S Chiefs franchise tag LT Albert

NFL | Buzzer beat: Chiefs franchise tag LT Albert - Rotoworld.com

" Albert will be due $9.83 million once he signs his one-year tender. The sides have until mid-July to reach a long-term agreement, but the Chiefs may decide Albert's back issues make it best that he plays under a one-year deal. The move throws a wrench into the top of the draft, as Texas A&M LT Luke Joeckel no longer has an obvious home in Kansas City. GM John Dorsey has insisted keeping Albert wouldn't preclude him from drafting Joeckel, but trading down is now the Chiefs' most logical choice."

The Draft just got very interesting....guru's, is this good or bad for us?

I don't think they'll find any takers for trading down. There's no clear cut must have 1st overall pick.

It looks like they're going to pick defense.

Between this and Spencer getting tagged my hopes for the offseason have been dashed to pieces.

Maybe this will somehow cause Lane Johnson to drop to us.

I do not think we would take him even if he did fall to us. The Saints do not seem to place premium value on OTs. I think they will re-sign Bushrod. They may also take a tackle in the middle rounds to develop.

No, Warmack, Johnson, Joeckel and Fisher will go in the top 12 regardless.

I agree.
