For those who are interested, this emerged recently as a possible model of the monster -

Another site (cloverfieldclues) says it isn't.

Also more info on the movie including a new teaser -

The first picture has been proven not to be the monster.

The second picture is fan art.

Cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com is the best website out for this.

It has already been proven that this is in fact the monster of Cloverfield:

I think so - it's still being advertised as such, and is being released a week from today.

I am not focusing on the monster(s); rather, the action, because I think all of the proposed monster images are lame, and one is sure to be right or close to it.

looks more like a turtle to me. An iguane might actually be cool. But what's more lame than a giant turtle? Maybe a giant whale.

Yes, BD.
Yes it has. :(

Well what makes it different is the perspective. Everything is shown through the video camera of someone in the city so your basically getting one persons perspective.

It's basically Blair Witch meets Godzilla.

im pretty sure its not the first one, because its ben confrimed the monster has smaller, raptor like creatures/parasites attached to it that fall of and do nasty things to people.

So it's Godzilla with bad personal hygiene and killer mites. Great.
