there is some civil rights issue going on over there from what i caught it sounded rather interresting but i didnt here the entire clip.....

The great call of China: fight a free Tibet

An outpouring of nationalist vitriol has followed. A deluge of angry phone calls and faxes has flooded into the Beijing office of CNN, which China has accused of "dishonest" reports on the Tibet story. The vast majority of Chinese citizens have no access to CNN, which is often censored or blocked in the few places where it is available, but Chinese bloggers and websites have convinced most people that the U.S. television network is unfairly biased against China.

The U.S. loves all the peoples of this world. The only reason we force said peoples to do as we say, either economically and/or with war, is because it's for their own good. I can't understand where the all hate comes from.

China is about to do the Olympic thingy and Tibet decided to show the world that China still has their Communist foot on it's neck, so in response China decided to use Tibetan monks and nuns as target practice.

Newsflash: China is a socialist dictatorship that has very tight rules on what information is allowed to be passed around the country. They will, at a whim, cut off any and all media outlets that they decide are portraying them in a negative light or showing news that is antithetical to the views of the Party.

China has claimed soverignty over Tibet. Tibet maintains that they are an independent people. China sent in shock troops to murder Tibetans who protested. The Tibetans fought back. CNN showed coverage of this. This coverage would probably be very troubling to your average Chinese citizen. Therefore, CNN's feeds were cut off. Same thing with Youtube. If you want to do business in China and reach their 1 billion+ person economy, you either play by their rules or you don't play at all. All ethics goes out of the window. Most Chinese do not know about and have never seen pictures of the Tiananmen Square massacre, for instance, because the government squashed all in-country media about the subject. An ignorant populace is a happy populace.

China is an evil empire which happens to make goods at a VERY nice rate compared to what we can make here, which is why we do so much business with them and why we hold our noses and buy their products.
