Am I the only one that finds it a slap in the face to the Cardinals that there are reports that Kliff would even consider going back to college? While Arizona is 9-2 and in possession of the first seed.
You can say what you want about the Payton rumors but they always appeared during a down season with the 2012 rumors being the only time I think there was some truth.
Arizona is in the same position as the Saints were in that 06-10 range where the Saints were the new team in town in the playoffs. Arizona is probably worse since they have an entire century of futility.
I can already see Kliff being on the annual rumor list. It’s gonna take a championship and about a decade of regular appearances for it to stop.

And there are current rumors floating around about Payton, that he may be considered and he could be interested in becoming the head coach of the Bears, or the Giants.

So what are you going to do, as a fan? You let it go. It is not the end of the world, when these sorts of rumors start to surface. If it ends up being true, there is nothing any fan can do. It is the nature of the business, just as when a favorite player leaves in free agency. It is life in sports.
