I have collected penguin items for at least 40 years. They used to be very difficult to find...now they are everywhere so I look for unusual or unique ones now. My first one was a candle. I have antique penguins from the 1930's & 40's (very rare), a hand carved ivory one I got at an estate sale, one made from volcanic lava from Mexico, and a hand carved one made by a Navajo artist that I got at the Grand Canyon....plus many, many more. Many were gifts from friends and family.
I also have quite a collection of fleur de lis items. I just started collecting them as a Saints fan many years ago. I add to this collection quite often. They are everything from jewelry to home decor. I see myself collecting these the rest of my life.
