Colston League MVP? (1 Viewer)

I would rather Colston win the Superbowl MVP than regular season MVP!!

Indeed.

Isn't there some bonus money for making the Pro Bowl -- 50k maybe? If ever a player deserved a little extra...

No doubt..

I wouldn't want to jump the gun, but I hope we renegotiate his contract in the next year or so, as long as he remains as productive as he's been thus far..

Here's a listing of the NFL MVP's since the time the AFL and NFL Merged in 1970. Rice was named an MVP in 1987 (23 TD's and the next closest player had less than half 11 TD's) and 1990 (Triple crown - Led WR's in Receptions, Yardage and TD's). So for Colston to win it he'd probably need one of those two distinctions and I don't think he'll lead the league in TD's (LT will) and I don't think he'll have the triple crown. LT is on pace to break 30 TD's this season and Brees is on pace to throw for 5,000 yards (which was only done once by Dan Marino in 1984). So Brees is a more likely candidate assuming that happens and the Saints make it to the Playoffs.

IIRC there is a bonus for playing time/starting from the NFLPA, some of our guys got some nice bonuses in the past. I don't recall the exact details does someone know what the heck I am talking about?
