After a long week in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine, here's a look at which players helped and hurt their draft stock:
Helped themselves
QB Brian Brohm, Louisville
Brohm came to Indy viewed by many as a notch below Matt Ryan, but after a strong showing he has started the debate again. He did a good job of striding into throws and displayed strength on his passes. In addition, he showed good athletic ability during his workout, which shocked those who thought he was heavy-legged.
QB Josh Johnson, University of San Diego
Johnson started strongly when he ran so well in the 40 (in the high 4.4s to low 4.5s depending on which scout's times we got) and continued to impress during his workout. He showed a surprisingly quick, compact and efficient delivery and excellent footwork. Though his passes did not have the sharpest spiral, he showed the arm strength to make all the NFL throws.
