They are modern medical marvels, Drew Brees and Carson Palmer.
The Saints' Brees tore the labrum in his right throwing shoulder in last season's regular-season finale as a member of the San Diego Chargers on Dec. 31. The Cincinnati Bengals' Palmer tore the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his left knee in a playoff game Jan. 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
