Has anyone else seen this breakdown? I found this on another teams message board.

3rd round comp players had signed for at least $6.5 million per season
4th rounders signed for $4.8 million to $6 million
5th rounders signed for $4 million to $5 million
6th rounders signed for $2.7 million to $3.9 million
7th rounders signed for less than $2.65 million per season.

I ask because I have never really understood how compensatory picks were awarded.

Look up wikis comp picks page. It's pretty good. It is based on a calculation of price, playing time, and production. That is why we did not get anything for Nicks.

Do we know that we won't be getting a compensatory pick for Nicks? I didn't think that info was released yet. I certainly could be wrong though. I thought the reason why we wouldn't be getting one for him was because he was injured for most of the season not because he didn't produce.
