I believe the main component to make our 3-4 work will be SOLID TACKLING from our LBs and when need be...the secondary.

If you have the big guys up front to occupy blockers (which it looks like we do), then the tackling past the D-line has to be done with authority.

We have some guys who like to launch themselves into ball carriers and bounce off instead of wrapping up and snuffing out the play.

Rob Ryan should show the defense that Marshawn Lynch run against us from the playoffs 2 years ago. That is HOW NOT to tackle.

I think the biggest difference this year will be Sean Payton. He probably gave GW a lil too much freedom and autonomy on D. I think this time around, Payton will be a lil more involved with RR and the D, esp during games.

And unlike GW, I think Ryan will listen.

Cullen Jenkins was a major pieces that made that defense go. It wouldn't be crazy to say that he was the best pass rusher on their team that year.
