Struggling professional “Call of Duty” player Douglas “FaZe Censor” Martin dumped his weathergirl girlfriend, Yanet Garcia, to spend more time with video games.

Announcing the decision on YouTube, the 23-year-old revealed that he and Garcia, 26, had split up, saying, “I don’t have time for a girlfriend.”

He went on to say that he needed to focus on playing “Call of Duty,” and would be playing the next iteration in the franchise, “Black Ops IV,” full-time while she was “doing that job over there.”

Garcia — known as “the world’s sexiest weathergirl” — grew her global legion of fans during the World Cup as she supported her native Mexico.

It might be a mental disorder...

The NHS is opening the country’s first specialist clinic to treat children and young adults who are addicted to playing computer games such as Fortnite, Candy Crush and Call of Duty.

Staff will help those aged 13 to 25 whose lives are being debilitated by spending countless hours playing games.

From Tuesday GPs and other health professionals in England can refer addicts to the service, with treatment starting next month.........

I remember playing Destiny almost compulsively most days for a couple years. Some weekends I'd just play strikes and crucible damn near all day. Then it started to suck and I haven't played since. That's probably the closest I've been to being addicted to a video game. I mostly just goof off on Switch now. But I can see how people can get addicted in a clinical sense, especially kids.

The updates to Destiny 2 are addicting.

I've been reading stuff about it lately and I'm bout to risk it all. Destiny junkie jboss possibly making his return. The updates are free now too or is it just the base game?

I think you have to pay for DLC content, but everything else is free.

Eh, I play video games pretty much every day, for 5-6 hours a day. In my opinion, its more constructive to play a strategic video game with friends that requires communication and planning than it is to sit down on the couch and watch reality tv. That's always been my argument when someone would ask how I could "waste" so much time on video games, the same person would watch an all day marathon on how to catch big foot...

This is absolutely true. Part of it is that the rest of the non-video game playing world doesn't understand that video games are now really social events involving talking to actual people via party chat, Skype, or Discord. Instead of going to bars and talking sheet with your friends, you play games online and do the same thing. It's just a different way to have social interaction as opposed to TV which is more or less a way to not have social interaction. And, even for kids, it teaches them to figure out complex problems, multi-task, make quick decision, and with some game, be creative.

Yep, i mostly game these days to play with people. I rarely play by myself anymore.
