My wife and I actually got to meet Joe Sunday afternoon at the Chateau Country Club in New Orleans. It was quite an exciting moment for both of us. He was just finishing up his round of golf. I saw no noticeable limp of any sort. He was walking fine. I absolutely take NO issue with him playing golf or anything. My question is...What exactly is Payton's policy concerning injured players for away games?

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but I'll try... the policy is "if you dress, you have to be ready/able to contribute." If you're asking whether or not he'll travel, I remember the first week he was injured he did not. Whether or not Payton has an actual policy concerning this yet, I do not know. Sorry if I didn't answer your question :)

If Joe's playing golf Sunday, the injury is not as "season ending serious" as some would have us believe. Perhaps Kenny W knew what he was talking about when he said the tear was actually good news because it could now heal. Joe will be ready for our divisional post season game.

Payton said somewhere earlier in the year that if you are not going to be active for the game you don't travel with the team. He said that players that are not playing would be more likely to want to check out the nightlife and might bring other players along
