Despite a mediocre game 1, I am going to stick with Steven Jackson as my RB1. For my RB2, I have to choose between Brandon Jacobs and Kevin Smith. One information source I use has Smith ranked 10 spots higher than Jacobs for this week. Fabiano on NFL swears that Jacobs is going to blow up against Dallas this week. Smith is playing Minn and will probably be stonewalled running the ball. However, he got most of his production last week against us from a bunch of receptions.

I was really surprised at Smith being ranked so much higher than Jacobs on that one source that is usually pretty accurate. What advice do you have to offer?

Thanks

No matter what anyone says, I don't think Kevin Smith is match-up proof. The Minnesota game will prove it. However, he's really solid. But you keep him benched for now.

Jacobs will be facing off against the Cowboys D, who let the Bucs "Alright" RB backfield walk all over them (plus, and I'm not sure how far back this average goes, but the Dallas rushing defense has averaged 174 yards given). He'll score you points, more than Smith will, guarenteed this week. No brainer.
