Walter Payton was one of, if not the classiest, players in the NFL. He defines Hall of Fame for what he did on and off the field. Ditka did not deserve him.

Payton gave all he had on every play. No running out of bounds to avoid contact with that guy! Total shame Ditka didn't have enough sense to let him score that touchdown in the super bowl.

Harper is all class. Might have been the only Saint to talk to Williams after the game against the Rams, also with Graham when the Seahawks visited. Definitely worthy nominee in my view

To be fair, he's also one of the only players on this defense that spent three years with Williams. Williams' last year was Jordan's first and I can't think of any other players on the D who were here in 2011 off the top of my head.

Well, at least our obsession with "character" guys gets us a player nominated for this award every year...who cares that we are 7-9 every year, at least we have guys with a high moral fiber....
