METAIRIE — For the first time in years, opposing defenses that line up against the New Orleans Saints offense have to pick their poison on any given Sunday.
If they choose to try to put the wraps on two-time Pro Bowl running back Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush, they have to deal with one of the top passing offenses in the NFL — according to the latest league statistics.
Possessing an offense that has the ability to move the ball efficiently and smoothly through the air has been a boon for the NFC South-leading Saints and one of the reasons for their 6-2 record going into the second half of the season. The Saints rank in the top 10 in 10 passing categories heading into Sunday’s game with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
