Brandin is becoming my favorite Saints player. He is not going to bow down to the NFL.

Brandin Cooks says he'll continue TD celebration despite Josh Norman's bow-and-arrow fine | NOLA.com

"I'm going to figure it out, but I'm not going to change it," Cooks told NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune. "The league will have to deal with it. The reason for why I'm doing it and what's behind why I'm doing it doesn't have anything to do with violence.

"So I'm not going to change what I'm doing to satisfy what the league wants. That's not what I'm here to do."
It's one of those things that they want to fine anything and get their little ... whatever they want," Cooks said. "They're not going to stop me."

He'll quit after a few flags. Although he shouldn't have to.

If it's a fine, that's his business. If the team is getting penalized, that is z different story it hurts everyone and makes it harder to win. I do agree the NFL would be insane to start flagging his celebration

Considering the fact that he's been mostly invisible since week 1......maybe he should be more worried about the Saints stringing together some consecutive victories instead of worrying about sticking it to the system when he eventually gets around to scoring again.

But if it receives a 15 yard penalty, regardless of whether it's right or not, that would hurt the team.

And he's not a selfish player, so this one will be interesting to watch.

I respect his opinion, but I think all celebrations are trashy, consider me in the Barry Sanders school of celebrations.
Dude i want to be entertained. While there is TONs of respect like Barry or Colston and even Deuce.

I want players talking trash and making me laugh. Afterall, they cant hit each other anymore.

It is sad when the best part of a football game is Ice T at a lemonade stand!

Why are the only celebrations getting outlawed, saints' celebrations?

And if he has extra money to throw around on fines, maybe he could consider donating (more, if he already has done so) to Hurricane Matthew relief, or Baton Rouge flood assistance. Otherwise the only entity that benefits will be the NFL.

This defiant statement of his doesn't impress me at all, when there are far more important things to focus on.

I'll be happy when he just gets started on the continuing touchdowns part.
My thinking, as well. I like Cooks, but I'd rather here about how he plans to get to the endzone more than how he'll celebrate. And I don't think it's wise to announce his defiance. The league loves opportunities to slap down dissenters and send messages.

Remember that player for the Giants on MNF scored & stuck his hand out and grabbed his crotch with the other hand? No penalty, no flags.

NFL has no consistency ... at all.

For the love of Christ, LEMONADE!

I think people should start calling him Lemonade because of that commercial.
