Haha...she thinks Disneyland has blazing sun. That's cute. I went to Disneyland for the first time this past June...JUNE after years of going to Disney World. It was the most refreshing park experience ever. By 9pm I still hadn't broken a sweat once. Compare that to Disney World where you're a sweaty mess before you even reach the rope drop.

We did disney World in February, 70 degree highs, fewer people in the lines.

we did that. for Mardi Gras break several years ago - which coincided with Presidents week.

Saw enough Yankee ball caps and wife beater tee shirts and at LEAST 20 people we knew from New Orleans to remind me how much i dont like crowds.

Disney World is bigger and is able to offer more attractions, but Disneyland is such a better experience (last year was our 4th or 5th visit -- don't think I'll ever go back to Orlando).

Disneyland has all the main attractions, but much better weather, smaller crowds, and it's easier to get in and out of. You can stay at a non-Disney hotel and still walk to the park in ten minutes, and you can walk off the park to go eat lunch nearby and then come back -- there's even a Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles right down the road. And you're in southern California, so the weather is fantastic -- gets a little warm during the day, but then cools off in the evening.

when i posted, my brain saw Disney World. We went in October one year and it was in the high 80's. While that isn't exatly blazing heat, its hot as heck after 10 hours....
But the rest of it stands as called...lol

Yeah, I'm sold. Plus, a trip to Disneyland doesn't mean JUST a trip to an amusement park. We can plan other things to do. If I'm in Orlando, I'm in total amusement park mode, Disney World or Universal.

I have been to Disney Land when i was like 6 years old, back in the late 70's. My mom still tells stories about how cheap it was and how cheap the food/drinks were. But that is a bygone era with Disney. I didn't get to Disney World until 2010, and that definitely was not the case..

Thats for sure! My wife is a Disney and amusement park fanatic so unfortunately I make it to Disney more than I do Saints games. Going on a Disney Cruise leaving out of New Orleans in April and let me tell you...they sure know how to wiggle your cash out of your pocket. Between excursions and things to do on the ship, it all adds up quick.

we did our disney world trip in April, beautiful weather, no crowds, most rides had hardly any wait, the longest line took ten minutes to get through. it was a week or two before spring break, so no rowdy kids/teens

I've also gone in mid september and was similar

I've been to DW 3 times in my life as an adult. If i never see that place again, it woudn't hurt my feelings one bit.
(of course i said that last time, but i got overruled)
