I also think we have a need for a new MLB, but let's not practice revisionist history here. The reason Simoneau has held on to the job so long is his ability to get everyone lined up correctly and always be in the right place. The problem with Simoneau is that he lacks the athleticism to make the plays, not the intelligence.
