Could the Saints trade with the Lions? (2 Viewers)

No thanks unless I was getting Isaiah Simmons at 3 and then D’Andre Swift at 35 for our 1st, 3rd, next years 1st, and Alvin Kamara. So the trade would hinge on Swift making it to 35 and at 24 being a player we both would take lol

Add Reggie Bush to that list

It's slightly tempting but not really necessary or realistic. At least half of our fan base was pretty tired of his -6 yard punt returns and fumble issues cuz he refused to come to terms with the fact that he was no longer at USC and could only turn the corner on running plays about 20% of the times that he thought he could.

Also, we already had Thomas and Ivory in the house in Bush's last season here and would add Sproles and Ingram the very next year. Beyond that, he was constantly injured and missed 10 games in his last two seasons here and only averaged 60.8 all purpose yards per game over those two seasons. When you're getting carries, screen passes, AND returning punts and can only scrape together 60 yards a game, you're no longer an asset.

Throw in our 2022 and 2023 1st round picks and the Lions might do that trade lol

We should try to get Matthew Stafford for cheap. That dude's put up good numbers in Detroit of all places so he'd be a very decent fallback if all else fails in this draft so we'd at least have a stopgap to keep us at 9-10 wins for 2021-22.
