Is it a banjo?

Yep....that whole song is electric banjo. I thought it was guitar with a great tone for a long time until I met him before a show and that song came up. When he told me it was banjo my mind was blown but it made sense at the same time. Haha Love that tone.

Absolutely LOVE country music from the 1970-80’s.....especially the Texas Outlaw country scene that kind of evolved from rebeling against Nashville.

Mainly brought over by Waylon Jennings, then he brought his friend Willie, and the rest is history.
Merle Haggard, David Allan Coe, Billy Joe Shaver, Asleep at the Wheel.....it’s an outstanding genre that still thrives today, but more of an underground scene.
