I've been doing a lot of Zoom myself. Connecting with people is important.

Just read this morning that the FBI is trying to clean up ZOOM. The “Zoombombers” have been injecting porn & racist stuff in the middle of talks.
Weirdos.

I really underestimated how hard it would be to shelter in place for these last two weeks. I thought I could do this for weeks on end. I'm just glad that this is almost over, or else I ain't going to make it.

I'm just glad that most people are finding this easy to do. I'd hate to see the whole community freaking out like me.

If I remember correctly, you've been recording vocal tracks to keep yourself occupied. Something that might help you get through this is to reach out to musicians and other vocalists to set up a regular online jam session. Seems like something you would enjoy and who knows what creative inspiration it might give everyone.

It's just a thought I got, because I know of a group of writers that have a regular time they all log into a Zoom group, say hello, mute zoom and then start writing. It may seem weird, but just know that there are other writers on the other end of the network cable helps to stay focused. You guys can actually actively do together what you enjoy doing. I think that might help all of you a lot.

For anyone that lives alone, the more socially interactive they were before, then the harder the sudden isolation will be for them. Replicate as best as you can by phone and/or internet the things you miss doing and the people you miss doing them with.

Perhaps this is why Zoom just sent out an update about making password logins required for hosting meetings by default.
But if some are still able to bust into private meetings, I'm all for convictions being punishable by having fingers removed (or even other appendages if serious enough).

Sounds like a great idea!
However, I don't really write songs. I just like to sing vocal covers. So I'm not sure how having a jam session like that would be much different than what I'm doing in my studio now.

I'm really just trying to hang on and do what the officials say is necessary to help save lives. My sanity isn't really all that important.
