Am I screwed? It looks like it will be pretty easy to seal but do you guys think I have a structural problem? The cracks look like they are right in the middle of the garage and extend in both directions almost cutting my garage into 4 squares.

How old is the house? How old is the concrete garage slab? Have you seen any other evidence of damage in the home? Have you had a significant weather event recently?

From your photos, the cracks don't appear very large - although it is odd how straight they are - it almost looks like they're control joints.

GuyInFla : Hey , what are these cracks in my bedroom floor ...

Built in 2006. No other evidence doors close correctly and what not. We have had a ton of rain lately and it looks like they may have gotten worse where I could almost fit a coin in it.

Looks like a worm hole is forming underneath your house. It happens every once in a while.

Did the cracks only appear recently?

Those cracks being so straight and particularly the one with the 90 degree cross tell me it's some sort of expansion joint.

Are they brand new and never seen before?

Look close up or post a close of picture of the crack so we can see whether the sides are heaving up or dropping.

Still, there are two types of concrete - cracked and going to crack.

Normally, hairline cracks like that aren't that big of a deal.. However I'm concerned about their uniformity. It makes me wonder if you have some sort of construction flaw..

I noticed them about a year after we moved in so about 2 years ago.

Not knowing the types of soil properties on your lot (or even your part of the country for that matter), I'm going to guess the soil under the has either settled or swelled from an increase in moisture content to the soil beneath the slab.

How's your surface drainage away from the foundation (i.e., no standing water next to the foundation)? If it's poor, you may want to take steps to correct that. As far as the existing cracks, if they do not significantly widen, I'd just seal it like you suggested, then keep an eye on it.

Here are some up close pics as well as the end of the one going into the kitchen.

I'm not sure what's going on there. The cracks lead me to believe that there might be a footer under the crack and that both sides are falling due to a moisture issue, but I can't tell without more info.

Take a ruler and mark out exactly 6" across the cracks in various locations and see if anything moves.

Do they extend to the edges of the foundation where you can see cracks around the perimeter or only within the field?

Don't fall in, some poor guy got eaten by his house in florida not that long ago.
