Crazy Video: Father of Danny Amendola among those run over by golf cart at Cowboys Stadium (1 Viewer)

1. I didn't know Toyota made golf carts.
2. It's funny the one guy already in the golf cart decides it's best to bail instead of stopping it.

Seriously? He only should sue if he has permanent brain damage? When you run a business like that you assume the risk, and when someone on your property gets hit by a cart like that, you should expect to dole out some compensation. They probably have insurance that covers that anyway.

A million bucks is slightly more than "some compensation". If he doesn't have a permanent injury of some kind, it's a ridiculous amount. Your comment shows why our society has become sue happy. Way too many people believe they deserve a free ride for life in return minor accidents/inconveniences.

You gonna suit for that!??? Whatever happened to ******* ACCIDENT! Geez this litigious society is going down the drain. If he has permanent neurological damage I understand, but just because? gET oUTTA hERE.

That's not an accident that is someone's incredibly avoidable screw up, otherwise known as negligence.

Yes way too many people sue for stupid reasons, but this situation is not frivolous if anyone of those people have legit medical bills they now have to deal with, let alone injuries that will affect them for any time period longer than getting up off the turf...

Put it this way if your dad, brother, son, or etc.. ended up with a permanent limp for the remainder of their lives because a multi-billion dollar company failed to properly maintain that cart and/or hired a moron that did not act responsibly, you'd want to make sure that every aspect of your loved one's permanently altered life was taken care of without watching them lose their job, home, credit rating etc... because of a freaking golf cart...

That said, anyone suing because they now can't leave their homes for fear of random golf cart attacks or something needs a good slap in the mouth.

As a person that is very familiar with golf carts I can tell you what happened.
At the beginning of the tape a person was loading the yardage markers on the cart and sticking the end zone markers on the floorboard. Not knowing better he places one on top of the accelerator pedal and the cart takes off. He then panics and jumps off the cart before it hits the crowd. The guy that got hit and was sitting on the cart was on top of the end zone markers and had no chance to unstick them from the pedal while he was on top. They key may have been behind him in front of the seat platform, another Good Samaritan is chasing after the cart and finally jumps on it and unstick s the jammed up end zone marker.

these carts move at full speed around 15-17 mph. We had s similar accident in our club parking lot when a cart took off after it's owner had placed a box on the cat from behind it. The box hit the accelerator pedal and took off. It end end up hitting the rear tire of a Camary and move the car about one foot to the side.

After Isaac put 12 1/2" in our cart storage barn we had a rash of carts taking off when their owners first placed the key in them and hit the pedal. Due to the water it left them with a bad switch which would just stick on.

.

Yeh that's obviously what happened hence the guy at the end removing the yardage marker from the gas pedal....

That guy was sitting on the things blocking the accelerator. After being hit by a golf cart, not only did he have the presence of mind to immediately steer it so it wouldn't hurt anyone else, he had the courage to bail at full speed despite any injuries he already had when someone else caught up and could knock the blocks away.
Also... a million bucks has to pay medical bills and lawyers and any missed work. You'd be surprised how little might be left after that. They should have just settled up with the man.

What? 1M in medical bills? Is there still insurance companies around? Please, tell me again how you can defend suing 1M for embarrasment? THATS embarrasing.
