They are put together waayyy better than store bought. Customized colors, customized grips. Better, higher quality components. Etc. The sky is the limit on total overall quality. Develops sentimental value, kinda like your first ball glove!!

I once lost a very nice bass, which eats at my soul every single time I think about it, because I did not have the proper equipment for the conditions. This got me making my own rods. I've made 3 for myself so far and love them. I plan on making my son an LSU themed rod in the not so distant future
