Can teams manage this? Turn off/on during an opposing offensive drive?

I don't know if they can turn it off on offense or not. I hope so. I heard 70 dbs is the standard for the league...not picked by the Saints.

You set a limiter for the audio at 70 and run it static at 30. On big plays crank it to 55 and in the 4th quarter constant 70.

The question is will the Saints still use 70 decibels once some fans are allowed to attend? I would hope so and then us fans can boost the level higher.

This is what it is going to sound like for Week 1. All stadiums must hold the crowd noise level to 70 decibels.

I think it’s kind of lame if it can’t be variable. It isn’t realistic to not have pops after big plays and increased noise when on defense.

What I've read is the piped-in noise level cannot be changed between when the home team is on offense vs. defense.

...the NFL raised the level from 70 to 80 decibels.
