I know rules differ each level of play regarding cut blocking , but I think its legal in the NFL as far as OL vs DL go.
If thats the case , we should seriously consider utilizing the technique in almost every play pass or run. It nullifies the defender no matter how good he is or how bad the OL is.
I remember running into a team back in the good old west texas playoffs and their OL averaged 5" 5 155 pounds soaking wet , but they were some cut blocking fools and averaged nearly 300 yards on the ground per game.
Getting to the QB was near impossible if you couldn't hurdle.
Im just saying.
