It's both and neither is the catalyst if you get what I'm saying. Williams needs these players to be successful as much as we needed Williams.
It's an important point to keep in mind too because, as lucky and blessed as we were to get Williams, he's really benefiting from this as well. He walked into a nationally-recognized-as horrible defense that had recently acquired critical pieces it needed and has thus far had pretty good health, and now gets to flex his defensive mind and have it be featured as successful and him a direct contributing cause.
He's earning himself another head coaching shot in large part because he chose the right coaching job for himself this season. If he had gone to the Titans, for instance, which is a historically high quality and talented defense that is starting to slip this year a bit due to lost personal, his rating would not be nearly as sky-high as it's going to be by coaching the Saints defense.
