Super cool.

Eating dinner together was important for my family when I was growing up and I'm glad it was, even if I had to leave some intense street hockey or football games to go home.

I remember "how was school?", being the go to conversation piece. "Fine" or, "it was okay" was the standard answer while hoping the conversation would go anywhere else.

But we bonded over lemon chicken, pork chops, lazy lasagna, pizza or whatever happened to be on the table.

Very good on the Davis's to highlight the family dinner.

Parents of SSF, be sure to expand your conversational repertoire beyond how was school if you haven't already.
