See, that hasn't always been the case. Alcoholic beverages did not become consistent and a legitimate product until it was legalized and regulated. For example, before being "bottled in bond" bourbon contain all sorts of unnatural and nasty things.
76 people just died in India from some homemade alcoholic brew.

I remember when my grandpa used to cook up some homemade brew in Chicago. My dad would be polite & have a drink with him. My mom said, that sometimes my poor dad would get sick. LOL Lord only knows what they put in that junk.

Or maybe you need to look past the Fox hysteria and see where she is coming from. She’s probably hated worse amongst Fox fans because she doesn’t have the usual boot licking rear end kissing policy of supporting Israel no matter what. Being Islamic she tends to look at the other side of Israel and the conflict over there. She is also on record as being extremely irritated about Trumps muslim ban, and how the whole DHS, ICE and all is being run right now.

I have seen a bit of what she stands for, and she is certainly no fan of Homeland security and Immigration policy of Trump.

Maybe i'm missing a piece of this story -- but what about Omar's tweet was incorrect?

Nothing. Nothing at all. Am I the only one who wonders why the US jumps when Israel says anything? We are their little puppy following along without question.

2018 midterms were all about numbers. Now it's about herding.

Is AIPAC lobbying and donating money to members of congress on behalf of Isreal? If so, I don't see how what she said is racist.

Same could be said of big oil, drug companies, etc.

They all certainly did jump and rush to denounce he tweet and demand an apology.

But if they actually are paying the members of congress (or via donations), then she's correct. It's not a trope if there is a factual basis.

Now, if her comments were like, "The Jews secretly control the banking and entertainment industry", well yeah.. that's messed up.
I think that was the tacit message. At least that's how the Democrats read it. Nobody is defending her.

I haven't really dug into this.

Of course, one could flip it and say "of course, everyone is going to go after the Muslim for even coming close to sounding anti Semitic"

Yeah, but no one is saying she "came close". They called her out ... and she backed down.

Oh, just some stereotype about Judaism being all about money.
I didn't read it that way. I also think it's absurd that people like Pelosi are calling the tweet "anti-semitic". Right or wrong, the tweet was in no way anti-semitic.

Now, I don't know if the extent to which AIPAC influences Washington policy is worth the sentiment. Paying politicians? I don't know. It's either a true statement in some regard or unfounded, I suppose.

Some contextual info: https://www.opensecrets.org/industries/lobbying.php?cycle=2018&ind=Q05

it's a well stated apology:
"My intention is never to offend my constituents or Jewish Americans as a whole," Omar said in a statement Monday afternoon. "We have to always be willing to step back and think through criticism, just as I expect people to hear me when others attack me for my identity. This is why I unequivocally apologize."

but her tweet is WAY more anti-Congress with a bit of anti-Israel - you're REALLY gotta twist it to make it anti-Semitic
