Deonte Harris back at practice and other news. (4 Viewers)

I honestly think Harris will blow this game wide open for Winston, honestly (think the Bears WC game last season). Feel like it's already been shown that the Bucs can't cover him on special teams (which he really shouldn't be playing at this point with his importance to the offense currently.) and I wonder how consistently their secondary can bottle him up.

I know I'll get backlash about my comment, but I think it's better with Taysom out.

No more swapping Winston out for a play that may or may not work. Winston showed he can scramble and get the yards when needed, but I think adding Taysom in, it severely disrupts the offense. We are bringing in Ingram so that is your Taysom pound it in role. At this point, I just don't see the need to rush Taysom back. I think the offense just needs WR and offensive line help. I like Taysom, but I the offense never gels with the constant switching. I'm just not a fan and if he doesn't snap behind center, I don't know if he will be of use or if he goes back to his old role? I don't know, but I'm mixed feelings on this one.
We need him as a TE, though.

I mean after seeing a full game without Hill in the lineup I don’t see how you can say it severely disrupts THIS offense, there was no offense on Monday…. Hill has produced, as much as you or any other TH7 hater wants to admit he is a huge asset in the red zone and also just across the board keeping defenses on there toes, I pray for his speedy and hopefully no set back recovery!

Taysom is a better short yardage back than MI, so it does hurt not having him back. Everyone is expecting Taysom to run, but he's still averaging 4.8ypc. He almost always gets first downs. The disruption to Winston is overstated. He's also a very good receiver that gets separation regularly. Our offense had one of its worst games in the last game, so we do need him.

HIll, Ingram and Kamara on the field at one time is a total nightmare for defense.

No backlash from me, but I am specifically referring to his blocking and especially his receiving contributions at H-back/TE/WR. In case you haven't noticed...the cupboard is thin there. Taysom gives us intermediate route options that Deonte really can't do on a regular basis.

I can see where you're coming from, but I disagree... We tend to remember the plays (especially 3rd downs) Taysom doesn't make, but take for granted the ones he does make. That TD run vs the Giants was a thing of beauty, it was overshadowed by the fact we lost. I wasn't a fan of his INT, of course, but I've always defended that Taysom should throw more often in the joker role, or its just not gonna work. It's like running AK up the gut: nobody wants to see it, but if you only bounce him outside on runs he won't be as effective. The guys on the other side watch a ton of film too.
I will say, however, that Sean Payton does have a tendency to outsmart himself with Taysom in the lineup. But that can happen with any play call, and we as fans (naturally) second guess it when it doesn't work.

In the end, I think the margin of victory in the NFL is razor-thin. Sometimes it comes down to a play call, a missed tackle, or just a blown assignment. We're just along for the rollercoaster ride.

No Harris, no WRs, and plenty of dropped catches. I don't see your logic. Taysom wouldn't have made a difference.
Oh, c'mon are you being remotely serious? The guy is averaging almost 5 yards a carry this season. And you're saying we had no receiving options, what do you think Hill represents? You seem to be fixating on a few negative plays & ignoring the positive ones
