The touchdown fumble recovery by Deuce McAllister was not intentional and the Saints narrowly averted a fourth turnover, according to the players involved.

After the game Drew Brees said the snap from center Jeff Faine 'stuck in the ground' and rolled back to Deuce McAllister. Brees said he didn't even know the ball had been snapped and said he was looking non-chalant because he thought Faine still had it.

Deuce McAllister said he just saw it rolling and picked it up."

Put that play in the playbook..................

Brees is lying. He was acting as if he had the ball in his hands.

Look at one of the replays though and you'll see that Brees is looking at the ground for the ball...

No reason to lie about it anyways...

People lie usually because they have something to gain from it. What does Brees have to gain.....it would make it look FAR better had he said yep....thats just the way we drew it up!

deuce just said on "4th down on 4" that it was "definately not designed"..he said drew was changing the play and he saw the ball and "tried to make a play"
