Makes sense, I dont think he wanted to leave the Saints, I think he likes it here and I think Payton likes him, Drops aside he is a big piece of this offense with his big play ability and the fact that Def Coordinaters have to keep him in there game plan....just one more guy they have to worry about.

I was disappointed in Deverey last year. But offense is about balance, and part of that balance is having people who can spread the field.

The guy is inconsistent, but he remains a very, very formidable deep threat that teams have to respect. Losing him would have been very, very problematic for the offense--even with all of his flaws.

I'm not especially excited, but I am glad.
